I led a team of student designers while taking Information Technology and Creative Practice at Northeastern University, pursuing my Master's in Learning Experience in Design and Technology. Our semester-long project involved creating an app for AV Specialists at MIT Sloan School of Management. The principle behind this project was to build a tool that can be used by those trained to use it. It is not intended to make sense to the person picking it up off the street. This allowed us to be more precise about what elements mean visually and how pages are mapped out. This streamlines the app's performance when the end user is in the heat of the moment resolving an issue or looking for something to do during downtime. With a brief tour of the interface (as provided by the video), an AV Specialist will know how to navigate and use the app. Our choices were determined to make work as effortless as possible while interacting with data through ticketing and classroom monitoring systems. This emphasizes my drive to streamline work and empower people to do their tasks with hard data.
